Uday Mondal was born in 1976, lives and works in Baroda. 1999 Uday completed his BFA in Painting, Indian Art College, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata 2020 MFA from MS University, Baroda. The work was acquired from CIMA Gallery in Calcutta, India, a renowned gallery dealing in contemporary works from West Bengal. Most of Uday’s figurative works comprise of people who are close to him. He experiments with placing his figures in his composition in various angles of foreshortening, or capturing birds' eye view.
