Peter Kane was born in Brisbane in 1959, Australia.

The series of ‘sushi plates’ have become the hallmark of Peter’s skill in slumped glass; divided into categories of fused glass, hand painted and trapped bubble techniques. All fired in glass kilns up to 800ºC.
About Glass Making
First known to stone age men was black glass formed from volcano eruption.
Glass making started before the days of Syria, Mesopotamia, and Egypt, followed by India and China; basic material is sand.
