Chris Yap wan born in 1969 in Singapore. He is a noted fine art photographer. He explores many different genres of photography to get to know the finer details in great depth as to what makes an image the top of its class. He believes in the process of how any image is built hence he chose giclee method for this work.
Giclée (zhee-clay) is a method of printing using very fine inkjet technique that sprays sometimes up to 12 different colours onto high quality paper or linen.
He taught photography at several educational and corporate institutions around Asia Pacific.
His works are showcased in renowned theatrical performances and fashion magazines.
He was also on the international judging panels for photography contests in Japan and Singapore.
He is currently part-time lecturing at Nanyang Technological University, in the Art, Design and Media Faculty Singapore.
