Boon Lai

Boon Lai (b 1972, Alor Setar, Kedah)

Is a Singapore-based multimedia creator-practitioner with over 30 years in the arts, publishing, branding-advertising, interactive multimedia production, filmmaking, spatial-experiential content creation. He draws from and mixes diverse philosophies, techniques and approaches from the various creative disciplines in his art-making. His works are often hybrid results of visual, text and other sensorial provocations. An ‘eternal village (kampung) kid’ navigating big cities, Boon seeks to apply himself as tool and function in his quest to experience and understand Life and his relation to the Cosmos. A guiding principle in his process: “I don’t do still life, because Life is never still.”
