Arghya Priya Majumdar was born in West Bengal 1966. He is a graduate of Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan.

His work has been shown extensively in major cities in India including Baroda, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. Recently Majumdar was included in Edge of Reality, a group show at TamarindArt Gallery in New York City. Majumdar has participated in a number of artist workshops, including Thai India artists workshop, Silpokorn University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2006, Metal Enamel Workshop at Kala Bhavana under visiting Prof.

 

Amol Ghosh from London in 2000 and the All India Artists Workshop organized by HUDCO & Genesis Art Gallery in 1998.
