Contemporary Southeast Asian art at The Podium
MARJORIE Chu, a Singapore-based art collector and gallery owner, is presenting
contemporary artworks by well-known Southeast Asian artists from her private
collection in an exhibit on the second level lobby of The Podium. The show is
being mounted in association with Finale Art File. It also coincides with the
launch of Chu's book "Understanding Contemporary Southeast Asian Art".
The exhibit features the paintings of Ang Kiukok, Angelito Antonio, Danilo Dalena,
Mauro Malang Santos, Manuel Baldemor and Norma Belleza (the Philippines); Dewa
Putu Mokoh, Sudarso and Widayat (Indonesia); Kahlil Ibrahim (Malaysia); Thavorn
Ko-Udomvit (Thailand); Wee Shoo Leong, Goh Beng Kwan and Earl Lu (Singapore).
