Born in 1937 in Singapore, Latiff is a self-taught artist who has been influenced by abstract expressionism. Latiff is currently a full-time artist and has been actively involved in the local art scene since 1970.

Kim Lim was born in Singapore in 1936; died 1997. She studied at St Martin's School of Art, London (1954-56), and the Slade School of Fine Art (1956-60). In 1960 she married the painter and sculptor William Turnbull, settling in London but continuing to travel widely. Her first solo exhibition was at the Axiom Gallery, London in 1966. She participated in group and solo exhibitions in Europe and Asia.

Born 1956 in Bangkok, Thailand. Born into an urban Sino-Thai merchant family, Thavorn studied at Silpakorn University, Bangkok and also spent a year in New York and Baltimore. While he has worked in a variety of media, his subject matter has almost always been his search for his Chinese identity within the context of Thai culture. Has taught at Silpakorn University, Bangkok; Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok; Nagoya University of Fine Arts, Japan; Bangkok University, Bangkok.
