YING
Sha Ying studied photography and Television in Beijing
Broadcasting Institute from 1978 till 1982. He was commissioned by the Chinese
Art Institute as chief photographer for the book Chinese Folk Houses,
which was one part of the major project Chinese Folk Art by the
Chinese Cultural Ministry in 1990. His works were selected by Singapore
Today 1997) and Tradition and New (2001) both books were made
by The Society of Worldwide Ethnic Chinese photographers. Solo photography exhibitions:
My Homeland at Substation, Singapore in 1995, and Shadows
Of Culture at Alliance Francaise, Singapore in 1999. He participated in
the joint photography exhibition FACETS (together with Singaporean
photographer Ken Seet and French photographers Gilles Massot and Jean-Christophe
Ballot) at the Alliance Francaise, Singapore in 2002. He is currently working
as supervising cameraman in CNBC Asia.
