RODOLFO SAMONTE

Born 1941. Imbibed art in the company of HR Ocampo, Legaspi, Roces in the AAP and the Saturday Group. Exhibited in Manila's top galleries: Kamalig, Galerie Bleue, Gallery One, Manila Peninsula, The Cultural Center of the Philippines, and won awards from the AAP. He has exhibited his paintings, serigraphs and paperwork in galleries in the Philippines, Japan, South America, Europe and the United States. He is the owner of Arts & Books Gallery, the only Filipino-owned mainstream arts gallery in Los Angeles exhibiting emerging Californian, as well as well-known international and Filipino artists in the field of contemporary painting, sculpture, digital art and photography.
